What is C-Notable?

C-Notable is a women-led giving collective focused on making meaningful, local impact through intentional philanthropy. We bring women together to pool resources, learn about community needs, and collectively decide how to support organizations and initiatives that are making a difference in the Charlotte metro and surrounding counties.

What makes C-Notable different from other giving groups?

C-Notable is designed to be:

• Collective, not individual – giving together amplifies impact

• Local and intentional – focused on organizations and causes in our community

• Accessible and transparent – clear governance, simple participation, and shared decision-making

• Relationship-driven – building community among members, not just writing check.

Who can join C-Notable?

C-Notable is open to women who live or work in the Charlotte and surrounding counties who are interested in collective giving, community impact, and being part of a thoughtful, values-driven group. No prior philanthropic experience is required.

How do I become a member?

You can join by completing the membership form on our website and submitting the quarterly $100 donation. Once complete, you’ll receive confirmation and next-step information.

 

What is the quarterly donation?

The quarterly donation is $100, which goes directly toward the collective giving pool.

What if I joined but haven’t submitted my donation yet?

That’s completely okay. Membership is finalized once the donation is received.

How are giving decisions made?

Giving decisions are made collectively by C-Notable members. We review opportunities, learn about local organizations, and vote or align as a group on where funds will be allocated.

Where does the money go?

Funds support:

• Selected nonprofit organizations or community initiatives

We are committed to clear communication around how funds are used.

Can I suggest an organization or cause?

Yes. Members are encouraged to nominate organizations or causes for consideration, following the guidelines outlined in our bylaws.

How often does C-Notable meet?

C-Notable hosts a combination of:

• Virtual meetings

• In-person gatherings

Focused on learning, connection, and giving decisions

Timing and format are communicated in advance.

Does C-Notable have formal governance?

Yes. C-Notable operates with formal Bylaws and a Nomination and Selection process to ensure clarity, fairness, and transparency.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

C-Notable is a registered 501C3 making your donation tax deductible.

Can my employer match my donation?

Many employers offer donation-matching programs. Check with your HR department for eligibility and requirements.

You can support C-Notable by:
